A parent shares with our group: something happened that was kind of cool today. small, but meant a lot to me. we went to the gas station and she wanted a sucker. one thing she doesnt understand is when the lady has the ring the sucker up she thinks you are just taking the sucker away. no many how many times we have explained this to her, that you will get it right back.. well she threw the tantrum like i knew she would. but when we got back into the car i decided to take her to the park so she can get a little exercise and sunshine, and i told her. mommy is going to put the suckers in her purse until we are done in the park She screamed, and i told her we will go home if mommy cant put the suckers in her purse. we get to the parking lot of of the park and she hands me the suckers and said here you go For many times Ive tried talking and explaining. Poor child just doesnt understand. That melted my heart for it was the first time she was compliant to something. i know its small, but to me it was huge!!!!!!!
