A part of the Texas A&M University System that many dont think much about is the Transportation Institute. Their job is figuring out how to make highways safer for all of us to drive on. A task they are currently working on is a little different. How does one build barriers to protect our embassies and military facilities abroad from terrorist attacks with vehicles loaded with a suicide bomber. If you design a better barrier, how do you test it to make sure it will be effective in stopping a heavy vehicle packed with explosives. It is one more way that Texas A&M is working to the betterment of Texas and the USA!
