A partial solar eclipse is happening this afternoon. This is when the moon passes between the earth and the sun. The best viewing time will be between 3:30p-5:30p, with the peak aournd 4:30p. Now, there are safe ways to view the eclipse: with welders goggles (rating of 14 or higher), the NM Museum of Natural History & Science will be having a watch party beginning at 3:30p (they will be offering proper eye protection), or you can make a Pinhole Viewer (like I did when I witnessed my first one at San Felipe Middle School back in the day).
