A patient was declared dead in dmch.....she wakes up after 3 hours.....reporters go crazy to find the doctor who issued the certificate.....hospital authority wakes up....the HMO gets sacked.....she wont get the training certificate for sure...and if its in the paper for a few more days she will loose the license. on an admission day in dmch, each of the on duty doctors have to deal with hundreds of patients. if they wait for the portable ecg machines (which can take upto 30 mins) to declare death, other people will die... on an admission day the ward is more like a triage center. you have to be quick to save lives. there is not enough ppl to help you deliver service in a proper way. no reporters paid for the patients treatment. they however, did wait another 23 hours for the follow up news of her death. if you are reading this, and you end up in dmch with a heart attack some day....do know that your ecg will be delayed because in some ward, some doctor is not risking his/her licence.\ -------------------------- Dr. Rakib Shahriar
