A people driven constitution- Some of us have been students from a long time. When the current government was in opposition, they taught us that our constitution is stale and it needed an urgent replacement. They opened our minds. For example, they said for democracy to flourish we needed to make sure that the government was voted into power by a 50+1 majority... This in turn means that a government should be voted into power by more than 50% of the voters. The current government while in opposition taught us that the president enjoyed too much power and there was need to distribute that power and so a new constitution was to effect that... So when we ask for a people driven constitution we are simply utilising the wisdom that we got from the current government. Okay... Zambia.... Look at how much money has been spent on this constitution making story.... Honestly how can we ignore so much money that has been spent already.... Are we poor financially or theres something seriously wrong with ourselves. To you our educated friends, honestly.... Will you just sit aside and watch? If we dont need a new constitution then.... Are we going to get every ngwee that was spent on the process of making this same invisible constitution? What about the people that hired the constitution even after knowing we didnt need a new constitution... Aint they guilty of fraud? Do we need the americans or the british to tell us we need to use our money wisely or else they will cut funding? This is not a political call... It is a call to passion for a very poor land yet so rich... Our graduates, make your voices be heard... Speak and fight for the good of your land. Use your education and get our monies back or a new constitution. . . . . . Words of pilato . . . .Be a youth with difference ...#Don
