A perfect moviegoing afternoon with Seattle moviegoers at the Too - TopicsExpress

A perfect moviegoing afternoon with Seattle moviegoers at the Too Good to Be True Crest Cinemas. Unlike GRAVITY, ALL IS LOST made me believe every moment of what I saw. Unlike GRAVITY, ALL IS LOST has a musical score that never tells me what to feel, never reminds me of a migraine, and never becomes shrill or overbearing. And what a brilliant, understated, muscular performance by Robert Redford, who was actually played by Robert Redford in every scene instead of animated approximations. The film manages to remain particular, specific, and realistic, while making itself available for poetic interpretations, instead of Capitalizing Its Important Images. Completely satisfying.
