A perfect summer evening was the setting for our second annual Diner en Blanc - Book Club Edition. This months book was a memoir called Tender at the Bone - Growing Up at the Table written by a foodie Ruth Reichl with stories that revolved around food compete with the recipes. As part of our night, everyone brought a dish using a recipe from the book. We enjoyed Marions Deviled Eggs, Artpark Brownies, Con Queso Rice, Oleron Berry Tart to name a few... I have to admit, I wasnt able to finish the book because every time I started reading it, Id fall asleep! Guess I must be tired? At three to four pages a night I was only able to get to page 124! So glad I belong to a book club where reading the book is optional but laughs, eating and enjoying times with friends is mandatory!
