A person of faith asked me why I am so hard on believers. My response was: Because I am an atheist.. I was Christian until my teens and then actually studied religion and history. That opened my eyes. Once you realize that all religions plagiarize from each other and that every major story in the Bible came from a prior religion, it causes the brain to engage in critical thinking and to question as opposed to having faith. I am a free thinker and do not set boundaries as to what I can learn and explore. In order to believe in any faith, one has to suspend critical thought or the curtains will be pulled back. I dont mean to be condescending but from what I learned about religion and its origins, it is laughable to me that people in the 21st century and with all the knowledge at their fingertips, still believe in what sheepherders thought up 2000 years ago.
