A person raised this point in a conversation we were having. Am I missing something in the logic. ASYLUM SEAKERS are told to destroy all ID so the process takes longer and they can get more legal aid.then they complain that it takes so long to get processed. it costs them $10-15,000 each to get smuggled in. BUT if they get a visa, and fly in as a family at $2-3,000 per person, use rest as savings for holiday of lifetime. then just overstay their visas, while lawyers apply for refugee status. wouldn’t that be easier and safer? and then we would at least have an idea who they are
