A person who is charming, “sweet”, helpful and sincere has come into your life. You are excited because you have so much in common and you feel that this person understands you more than anyone else. They even go to church and tell you that they prayed for you. They are committed, and are always willing to help in the community, ministry, business, or organisation. They are everything you have ever wanted and more. You just can’t understand why some of your family, friends, colleagues, and mentors are so uneasy around them. You constantly find yourself defending this person and trying to justify their behaviour. There is, however, one thing you have noticed about them- they have multiple personality traits. Some people even call them bipolar. One minute they are kind, caring, helpful, understanding and even very religious, but the next minute they are vengeful, bitter, angry, controlling and manipulative. They are always playing the victim and blaming others for their problems. As time goes on; you realise that the more you hang around this person, the emptier you feel on the inside. You feel anxious, depressed and very confused. Your loved ones then begin to tell you that YOU have changed for the worse, and this discombobulates you even more. You have no peace. You constantly feel so alone and as if you are drained emotionally, spiritually and physically. There are times when there is an unexplainable heavy oppression over your mind and emotions. Sound familiar? Well, you may have encountered the most dangerous, controlling and manipulative demonic spirit- THE SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL!
