A personal desire for my Christian heritage: I prayerfully wish - TopicsExpress

A personal desire for my Christian heritage: I prayerfully wish I could convince Christians that Karma is not consistent with Christian thought. Christians have sowing/reaping but not Karma, the new birth but not rebirth, the resurrection but not reincarnation. The Christian religion is far removed from Karma, as death is from life, as far as east from west, as far as darkness from light, and as far as hope from fatalism. Karma arises from eastern mysticism, not from Christian revelation. It is a false premise in Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism, Shintoism, In Falun Gong, and Taoism. It is adapted by New Age (old Eastern) Theosophism, some forms of spiritism and even Americanism (What goes around comes around). But the idea of Karma in life denies the reality and even the possibility of Divine grace and the existence of a loving supreme being. So, what do you say Christians, dont you think its time to stop our syncretistic adaptation of this ancient, humanistic religious misinterpretation of Gods intervention in the universe? Stick with the Word of God. Stop paying homage to the idols of this age. Sometimes we Christians are far more concerned about things that are of questionable interpretation and far too little concerned over things that are of definable interpretation than we ought to be. Thus endeth the rant for today. :-)
