A personal note to Robert Redford: Dear Mr. Redford, I am a fan, and have been for many years. Thank you for your work and dedication to quality film all these years. Congratulations for keeping a professional and personal life above and beyond the cheap tabloid chatter so beneath you as an actor and individual. You remain a role model for many. That said, I beseech you, as a dignified man in your 70s, to let your amazing, wonderful head of hair go its natural course of gray, forgoing the red tint I have seen in recent films. Let yourself morph naturally into the dignified elder statesman of film that you are, thus allowing the roles you have thankfully taken in recent months to be graced with all the glories of a man at such a revered place in life. As a fellow bearer of testosterone, but with an admitted man crush on the subject of this very letter, I must say that a head of silver will in no way diminish all that you have to bring to a role. I dare speak for many when I say we would be all the more attentive to the silver hair, and much less distracted, as we are, by the ginger hair dye. You are a legend. Auburn hair didnt make you a legend. YOU made you a legend, and we are all the better for it. Thank you again, and I hope there are many more roles to come. Respectfully, R.J. McClain
