A physicist told me that we have wide open sea water valves stuck open cooling down the plutonium rods in the melted down reactor and released directly into the ocean. The coolant takes a clockwise journey through the Pacific via the janewe current around the guldf of Alaska and south along the coast to Baja,CA. This will remain a risk for at least 10 years as these plutonium rods settle into the melted down reactor core. As an historical reference, the people in northern Arizona had 100x the national average for lymphoma and other cancers from being downwind from the Nevada nuclear test sites of the 50s. All marine life and ocean waters have been irradiated in this way. To protect absorption through the thyroid he recommends taking surplus store iodine to saturate the thyroid and calcium to prevent absorbtion of strontium 90 into bones and the milk of lactating mothers.
