A piece of history for you, on this date in 1945, the USS Indianapolis, had just delivered the first atomic bom for Tinian Island in the Pacific. It would be used just a few days later in the bombing of Hiroshima. As the Indianapolis, left Tinain, headed for Guam,no one knew that it;s mission had been so secret, that it was even registered has being there. Two days out it was slammed tow to Japanese topedoes and sank in 12 minutes. From here on would become the greatest record of shark attacks, and sea survival in naval history. Of the 990 men who went into the water less than 290 would survive, the rest would fall to sharks, salt water, and the incredible heat of the South Pacific. It happened 11:45 Pm. Pacific Standard Time on this date 68 years ago.
