A poem about the tale of the men who ended the Qin dynasty and soon established the foundation of one, that would soon be known as the Han. Here I am surrounded by the enemy on all sides, Here will be my last battle, for I know I am sure to die And as the light will soon come, the end soon draws near My heart is filled with sadness and doubt, but death I do not fear I was once a hero, with sword drawn high and spear in hand My name, my fame, my might renown throughout the land But here I am, with wine in hand and songs of Chu in mind Remembering the joyful days of laughter that are now hard to find And now my lady has left me as I hold her dearly to my chest, Oh how I curse the heavens so with this cruel and final test Liu Bang, you who once my brother now my rival and enemy Is there nothing more that you do not want to take from me? You and your men will not take my life so easily, my friend For I shall be the maker of my fate, the bringer of my end For I, the great Xiang Yu shall say his final goodbye Here on the might Wu river will I stand to fight and die
