A police officer of ASI level is far more competent than a Second - TopicsExpress

A police officer of ASI level is far more competent than a Second lieutenant of Army. A police officer passes through a rigorous test of provincial public service commission and an interview before a panel of intellectuals while a second lieutenant passes through some very meagre intelligence and some psychological tests. But this is very unfortunate that one reaches the ranks of Generals while the other retires as an SHO or hardly a DSP. More disturbing is the difference between the life standards of both. A police officer of such rank, if desires, having life style, that of an army officer must have to resort to bribery while an army officer draws the same from national exchequer through the same years of education.
