A positive, and moving week...... Two events in the last 4 days in my life, made me filled with hope and happy thoughts. Maybe they can do the same for you all. We tend to judge our opinions and feelings by the personal experiences we have ...here are mine.1)Halloween night. We had about 300 little and medium sized spirits come to our home dressed in great costumes. All night I heard, Thank you! Have a happy Halloween, We love your decorations, This place is so fun!.. Made my heart skip a beat to know that they are appreciative of the treats, and didnt take them for granted,They saw work put into decorating and wished back to me what I wished to them. It was worth all the preparation.....It was difficult ...my heart is still crushed....I miss Wayne ...but I KNOW in no uncertain terms....I had his support.2) Being an election judge for the first time in my life, I got to see things you dont see by merely voting. I worked with young people 17 to 27 and then on the other side, over 65, who were brilliant, dedicated to doing a superb job, followed instructions, made good suggestions, remembered so many details despite only one class and never doing this previously,pushed themselves and gave positive energy and FUN!!,There were also the aged, sick, foreign born who could barley speak English, folks who were economically strained and the elderly, (I am talking over 80!) who struggled across the ballroom floor to the voting booth, hands shaking, walkers as steady as they could make them, but determined to have their votes counted.Every race and religion . Inspiring doesnt come close! As I came home at 8:45am after getting up at 3:30am to work from 5 am on., I felt my spirits lift,...I didnt hear the voice I have loved for so many years saying, Howd it go...or the sparking blue eyes shinning when he felt I did something neat.....BUT...again...I KNOW he would have loved it. I miss you Wayne...but hold you in my heart....always......
