A post from my son Jonathan: Dear Family and Friends, Please allow me to share an amazing opportunity that my dad has given me. My father and I have been asked to join a mission trip to Nueva Esperanza, Honduras to finish the installation of a well, tank and distribution system that will provide the villagers with clean water. This mission is being coordinated through two Christian organizations: I.R. 6:8 (ir68.org/about/) and Lifesong for Orphans (lifesongfororphans.org/countries/honduras/). The trip objectives are to: 1) Show Christ’s love to the villagers through returning to their village to help bring them clean water after their desperate need for water was witnessed this past February by another mission team. 2) Give me and my dad the opportunity to get into the mission field to help us see the world around us through God’s eyes. 3) Allow me to care for those in need, with the hope that my heart would be even more turned towards service in the name of Christ. Please let me know if you would like to be part of the update/prayer team; if so, I will be sending out e-mails before during and after the trip to let you know how it is going and how you can prayerfully support our efforts.
