A potential thief first woke up his victims in Kenosha on Wednesday. Family members at the home in the 6400 block of 26th Avenue kept Taylor J. Oliver, of Kenosha, on their porch and called Kenosha Police about 2 a.m., reports said. Oliver supposedly upset the dogs at the home while removing a window screen. The dogs’ barking woke up the family, who then heard the doorbell ring. A woman in the house saw Oliver walk from the door, off the porch and to her van, parked in the driveway. He tried to open doors on the van with such force that the vehicle rocked back and forth as he pulled on the door handles, the woman said. Oliver was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Reports said officers found Oliver sleeping in the 6100 block of 22nd Avenue a few hours earlier.
