A powerful powerful song ... an imagination of the emotional agony Jesus suffered in the garden of Gethsemane ...alone in the wee small hours of the night. The Bible said He sweat drops of blood. He knew what misery was ahead as He knew he was being betrayed by his own disciple Judas; he knew all he had to do was deny being the Son of God...perhaps the authorities would be content with humiliating him and allow him to live a life of shame and ridicule and pity. But he knew that he was the Messiah...he knew that his physical death as a sacrifice in place of all would forever change the relationship between God and humankind ...it was too important to run away from. So he stayed, he waited to be identified to the arresting force by an insincere kiss on the cheek....to be given a mock trial in the middle of the night...to be humiliated, tortured and slowly murdered....then to change the world with his Sacrificial Love Beyond Understanding.
