A praiseworthy and respectable decision by Delhi Police Commissioner Shri B.S.Bassi..He has given very clear direction to all Police personnel for not visiting residences of their seniors with Gifts and Bouquet etc on Deepawali..Otherwise serious disciplinary action will be taken against those Police personnel.....Harsh Truth is that all these Drama of presenting Corporate Gifts and other costly items on the occasion of Deepawali to people in important positions, is nothing else but a Refined Form of Bribery..Corporates and individuals give costly gifts on Deepawali to only and only those individuals who can give them benefits..It is not related to any religious ritual or tradition..Earlier we used to visit our relatives and friends on Deepawali with Traditional sweets & dishes and decorative Diyas and candles..But certain Selfish Bribe Givers and Takers have spoiled its pious essence..Hope more and more Ideal persons like Shri Bassi will come forward to end this menace of giving costly gifts on Deepawali..
