A prayer for foster families, including my own... Dear Lord, we come before your presence with thanks giving. We are thanking and praising you for all of your blessings. We are thanking you for choosing us and counting us worthy to entrust your most precious jewels. Father we thank you that we are not along, and when it gets hard, you are there to lean on, and strengthen us to go farther. Heavenly father, I thank you that your love for us, and your love in us, enables us to stay the course, despite the hard battles and hard task. I thank you that when I was a task, you put people in my life that did not give up on me. And now Lord I am praying for foster families who homes has been turned upside down, and whose comfortable lives has been disrupted, and whose functional families are now dis-functional. I am lifting them up to you because it is easy to forget that this is not about us, but is all about you. Help us to love, and endow us with the love, that goes beyond a good feeling, and is embedded in our very souls, to love the un-loveable. And to provide good stable christian homes where a damaged spirit can be restored and find rest. and a tormented soul can find peace. And Lord, help us to know even when it is time to let go. Lord keep our focus on the prize, and let us not be weary in well doing, In Jesus name, AMEN.
