A prayer for law enforcement: Father, our world is turned upside down, and we are in need of a spiritual awakening. Every person is to be loyally subject to the governing, civil, authorities. Our mayors, police, members of our fire departments have no authority except by Your sanction. Those who resists and sets themselves up against the authorities resists what You have appointed and arranged. Those who resist will bring down judgment upon themselves. For civil authorities are not a terror to [people of] good conduct, but to [those of] bad behavior. In the name of Jesus expose and root out dishonest cops who abuse their authority and bring them to repentance. Lord, we pray for those who are working for the good and safety of the people, and ask You to build a wall against criminals so they cannot find their way to kill and destroy those who are enforcers of the laws of the land. Father, be a wall of fire around about them and send Your angels to encamp around them...be their refuge and fortress. Give them wisdom and good judgment in all situations. We pray that Your truth shall be their shield and buckler, in the name of Jesus!
