A precious brother in Christ posted a great comment about how YOLO (You Only Live Once) should be thought with much higher consideration, and not just as an excuse to do foolish things. This reminded me of a video (3 minutes 15 seconds) I never posted on here which had a great influence on my life. To go along with what I quoted on Tuesday, we must seriously ask ourselves the question, What are we living for? Are we living for the things of this world, the treasures of this world, and the pleasures of this world, which will all be destroyed? Yes, wealth, degrees, status, and possessions can be used for Gods glory if we place Him first, above all things. However, we must ask ourselves once again, Are we using God to gain and store up more earthly treasures, or are we using our earthly treasures which God has given us and the entirety of our lives to glorify, praise, and spread His Good News of salvation to all who will repent and believe? If someone were to look at our lives, what would they say we live for? What would they say would be the focus and drive of our lives? What would they say we spend our time, work, and finances on? But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up...But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. - 2 Peter 3:10; Matthew 6:20-21
