A press conference was held today at Civil Defence Officers Club on preparations of the elections for the fifth term of Central Municipal Council. Salem Saqr Al-Miraikhi said that a committee was formed to study changes on constituencies established 15 years ago, based on the Qatari citizens population in each area. As per the findings of the committee, some constituencies have been merged with some other, cancelled of some constituencies and created some new ones on demographic size of Qatari citizens. As well, the names of constituencies have been changed to numbers. Assistant director of Information Systems Department Brig. Abdul Rahman Al-Maliki, new constituencies can be explored through interactive map at MOI website. Citizens can inquire about their constituencies by entering their area and premise number or by electricity and street number. Brig. Al-Maliki said that the new link on the MOI website will be available from next week. At the end, Brig. Al-Mirakhi asked citizens to register newly in voters list as there are changes in constituencies
