A press release just hit my inbox from a group purporting to call - TopicsExpress

A press release just hit my inbox from a group purporting to call itself Coalition for Power 2016 and purportedly signed by one Prince Agyei Nyarko, Jude Chapman Kodam and Nana Kwame Dapaah. The said press release calls on the Disciplinary Committee of the NPP to sanction Daniel Bugri Naabu for certain comments he allegedly made, although those comments have been publicly retracted and the appropriate apology rendered. The press release seeks to create the impression that NPP Youth are in support of the alleged Coalition for Power 2016. We are NOT! And certainly cannot be. I am very certain the National Youth Organiser is unaware of this supposed group of persons. Or Sammi Awuku, are you? Even worse is the groups complaint. If indeed, the group seriously disagrees with Mr. Bugri Naabus comments, there are laid down procedures to follow and those procedures do not include issuing a press release. The group claims not to want to undermine the National Executive however the press release does exactly that. Of what effect is a press release when the Disciplinary Committee is not seised with your complaint? In fact, isnt the supposed groups press release in contravention of the recent directives of the National Council of Elders, which stated amongst other things that there should be no public statements and releases? I read the press release with the contempt it deserves. It is a joke from persons seeking attention. Coalition for Power, INDEED!
