A probe that landed on a comet has ended up in the shadow of a cliff, about one kilometre from its intended resting place. In a first for space exploration, the lander named Philae was released from its mothership Rosetta, landing on the comets surface on Thursday. Philaes current resting place means it will only get an hour-and-a-half of sunlight a day, instead of the expected six to seven hours. Scientists must now determine exactly where Philae is resting before attempting to move the lander.
