A prudent man foresees the evil, and hides himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. (Proverbs 22:3). The “prudent man” is the one who lives his life by the Bible and, therefore, “foresees evil.” He can, therefore, protect himself from its environment. The “simple” can be likened to those who do not know or believe the Bible and are, therefore, ignorant of the vicissitudes of the spirit world.
