A public university is supposed to be a place of learning and discovery. That discovery cant take place when we dont welcome all viewpoints and ideas to the discussion. Thanks to the help of Joelle Stangler (Presidential Candidate of Student Gvmt at the U) and others, the Minnesota Student Association passed a resolution urging the University Senators to oppose a resolution to dis-invite former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice from speaking at the U on April 17th. The Senate will consider the resolution this Thursday. Text the resolution MSA took up today in response of the Senate resolution is attached. This resolution passed on a voice vote.
