A question I am asked fairly often is how I can call myself a costume designer when the vast majority of costumes I make were already designed by the artist who created them. And heres the answer: Artists are great at drawing 2-dimensional, flat costumes that look great on the comic book page and dont have to adhere to the laws of physics. To make the costumes as they appear in the comics and make them WORK and fit properly requires its own elements of design, which is what I do.
