A question came up about Montessoris approach to education and if it aligns with the federal Common Core standards that has been back in the news lately. It is a complex question to answer in a few sentences. Our elementary Montessori curriculum not only meets the Common Core standards, in most cases it far exceeds them. Do we think that teaching Common Core is the best approach to the education of a child? The simple answer is no.
