A question from our inbox: Hello, I found this page as I was scrolling through my news feed... I am not currently pregnant, and am not currently trying to conceive. My first baby was born last September via emergency c-section. I had been in labor for over 24 hours by the time they decided to do a c-section. My water broke at about 7 am the day before my daughter was born. I was put on pitocin as soon as my contractions started getting closer together, to dilate me further and faster. Because my water broke 24 hours before my daughter was born, I developed an infection. My daughter was sent to the NICU within minutes of being born. Everything seemed fine and I was sent home four days after the c-section. Unfortunately, I developed a fever and within hours, was back in the hospital. My incision had gotten infected and I developed endometritis as well as another infection. I was in the hospital again for another week. I was again sent home, only to go back a week later with a pulmonary embolism. My question is, how do I get as much info as possible for any more pregnancies? How do I ensure this doesnt happen again? I would love to have another child or two, and would love to VBAC. How do I ensure the possibility? Thank you from MN. #ICANSupport
