A question regarding breaking the sad news to Miss P. ..... As you know its her Birthday today and Parkie passed away while Mr Stewart and Miss P were asleep.... I was woken by Sweetie thumping and Binky-bird flapping his wings and calling out.. Id only just gotten to sleep within the hour.... After he passed away I woke Stewart to help me.... Miss P. Partially woke and heard Stewart and I preparing Parkies box to be buried in ... She didnt come out of her room but I felt it was best she had the opportunity to say goodbye ... so I gently broke the news to her :( ... I couldnt let her discover him on her own as I know the first thing she would do on waking is check on him... She burst into tears (naturally) but was able to say goodbye this was at approx 2am... We decided set the alarm for 5am to lay him to rest before Stewart left for work ... Today reached 44c so we couldnt delay things. We said a few words and lay flowers over his grave as the sun began to rise... Its been a long day :(
