A question to all: Tomorrow I have a meeting with my hematologist. - TopicsExpress

A question to all: Tomorrow I have a meeting with my hematologist. I have been fighting itp for 9 month now. From the terrible nose and gums bleeds, brushing, petechia while my platelets are between 30-60 I understand for most people that is a safe number but over the last 9 month it has shown to me that it isnt a safe number for myself. Just a month ago my platelets where 45 and I was hospitalized for coughing up blood but my hemogoloagest seem to ignore all of my bleeding symptoms as well as the physical symptoms such as the swollen legs and feet, the tiredness, ect... Tomorrow I am planing on going in finally putting my foot down and saying u need to help me, we have determined my ITP is not going away and we need to make some decision on what to do. So im asking all of you how I should approach the situation/ conversation and also what some of meds ur doc put u on to either put u in remission or stabilized ur ITP. I have not responded to steroids or IVIG
