A quick look at the model output shows high pressure all the way through to beyond next weekend with only the faintest chance of a late afternoon shower due to the heat. The mackerel are in along the Cardigan Bay coast now - was picking them up yesterday at Borth on a special extension to my normal rigs which involves an extra 2ft 6 of rig body, a 2ft hooklength, a size 6 hook baited with a small fish strip and a floating bead. This waves around enticingly, high in the water, and any passing mackerel will attack it viciously! Was getting lots of rattly bites too and have tied some new rigs aimed at finding out what these critters are!
