A quick note and show of love. Theres an article going around with an unfortunately negative take on how cosplayers contribute to geek culture. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but just in case any of you have taken this message to heart: Cosplayers are the confetti of the convention world - you brighten up the show floor and make the turn down every new aisle a surprise. You are walking, talking art. As a fan, you bring my favorite characters to life and provide me with a slice of fantasy I thought didnt and couldnt truly exist in the real world. As a fellow cosplayer, you inspire me to learn new skills, improve my craft, and always remember that fun and fandom are at the heart of any great costume. And as a game industry professional, you make the long hours and sleepless nights worth it. To see you dressed in tribute to something weve worked so hard on is inspirational, and fuels us with passion to pour into the next big thing. Thank you.
