A quick summary of our protest today in #Aleppo which hundreds joined, dedicated to the children killed by the Assad regime in eastern suburbs of #Damascus: a) our main message was one of solidarity with the 1200 people killed b) we also protested outside the headquarters of several fighting groups in Aleppo including Jabhat al Nusra and the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria". ISIS asked for the names of all protesters "to make sure that there were no traitors among us" and also expressed disapproval at the attire of a couple of the girls that were protesting with us. The group responded with chants of "God is Greater." c) we said "shame on you" to all of the bystanders in Aleppo that did not join the protest, for their lack of humanity as their brothers and sisters are being killed in Damascus d) and of course most of the protest was directed at the ruthless murder Assad and his supporters We got plenty people asking "what is the point of protesting" to which I can only ask "what is the point of standing on the sidewalk doing nothing?"
