A quick update on Anubis for all those that are following his progress. We contacted Anubis specialist yesterday and he has said that Anubis has not got a liver shunt in the classic sense. He may still have a micro vascular shunt but if we want to know for sure we would need to contact a surgical specialist and have a liver biopsy done. Although so many of you have kindly offered to help us with the cost of a biopsy it is something we want to avoid if we possibly can. Not only would it negate the need to ask for help but the procedure in itself has quite high risk attached to it. We have this morning contacted a vet, for a second opinion, that has been highly recommended by Tracey Hayward and Chris Mawer and she has a great deal of knowledge of sight hounds and their physiology. She is sending a request for Anubis notes to his present vet and we have an appointment on Thursday with her to discuss what else may be appropriate for him. One thing is for sure though, we havent given up our fight to get Anubis the best outcome we can
