A quick update on Chip as of yesterday..... at this point its definitely uplifting news and well take it! Chips CBC panel is normal which is excellent and the vet currently gives him an 80% chance of full recovery. The little guy is extremely alert, active, spunky, and just wants to be held, loved, and played with! He has a blanket, a pillow, and a little kong in his kennel with him to give him something to do and to keep him comfortable. He does not seem to be bothered at all by the sarcoptic mites and isnt itching and scratching, so he is responding very well to the treatment. If all keeps going in this positive direction he should be able to go home with his foster mom and get very comfy by the end of next week! Lets keep the prayers going for him!! The mange treatment and medical boarding will run between $450 and $500, so if there is anyone that would like to help out and donate towards his expenses we will be extremely grateful as we have been hit hard the last 6 weeks with some unexpected high medical expenses and are struggling. Also, the proceeds from our next auction that begins this Sat morning at 8:00 will be towards little Chip if you wish to participate in that.
