A quick update on our appointment today... It was a long day :-/ 2.5 hour ultrasound started at 7am, an EKG/second ultrasound ordered on Jace, with lots of waiting throughout the day, then around 3pm the doctor came in where we spent a little more than an hour with that team going over the results and next steps. The short version is, Micah, baby a/donor is still in little fluid (less than 2cm), has microscopic bladder that isnt functioning and symptoms of TTTS. Our recipient baby b, Jace, is in about 6.5-7cm of fluid which isnt consistent with true TTTS (more than 8cm) but his right ventricle in his heart is not functioning and of high concern- this may or may not be bc of TTTS (since they have not been diagnosed with true TTTS the heart failure could be a birth defect or just signs of TTTS to come). I go in for another full scan on Wednesday morning where I could then be admitted for surgery or pushed to Thursday .. Or have to come back in the coming weeks. It is still unknown. Although drained and still looking for answers, we continue to believe in the power of prayer and hold on to the truth that He has it all in His hands!
