A quick visit to the Museum of the Battle of Jarama at Morata de Tajuna, 9th. November 2014. On our way to Huete we dropped in to say hello to Gregorio Salcedo, who many of you know runs the excellent museum at Meson el Cid on the Battle of Jarama. He also appears in the War is Beautiful documentary, hence the visit. Things in the museum are being added and altered, but what caught my eye was this new wall presentation of photos of soldiers of both sides who fought at Jarama. A lot of faces I immediately recognised, and there are many photos of the wall. However, what intrigued me is that there are also a number of empty spaces. It made me wonder if people whose family had a direct connection to the Battle of Jarama, might want to ask Gregorio if they could put also up a photo in an empty space that they might have of a certain individual who fought here?
