A quiet Monday is on the cards it seems. European equity markets have been trading with upside momentum since the start of todays session, with ECB members comments providing a catalyst for the move higher. ECBs Nowotny said that a cut in the main refinancing rate alone might not be sufficient to combat inflation, potentially hinting at a broader response from the ECB at the June governing council meeting.
