A quieter night than the previous one but we still didnt get chance to catch up on our clerical duties! Two of our crews started the night assisting North East Ambulance Service gain entry in the Redcar NPT area. This was following a report of concerns for an elderly neighbour. Entry was gained with our new lock picking kit and we found the gentlemen had fallen in his bedroom against the door, leaving us unable to gain access to him from the landing. After the further assistance of Cleveland Fire Brigade UK, access was gained via a first floor window and the elderly gent taken up to James Cook, with our best wishes for a speedy recovery! #teamwork #partnerships #communityspirit At around midnight a drink driver was stopped in Norton after showing us what the front end of Ford Fiesta looks like at 30mph! Collision averted, the female driver blew just under 3 times the legal limit and was taken off to custody. Once sober the driver was charged this morning to attend magistrates court. We were also involved in the recovery of stolen property in Hartlepool meaning that someone today will have their pedal cycle returned! Remember THINK!- Road Safety!!
