A random thought about being our Brothers Keeper: I overslept this morning, and so today I had to be both student and facilitator for my homebound Sunday School lesson, so I went back to some familiar ground, namely, Micah 6: 6-8, (NIV)~With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God?... I acknowledge, without a doubt that Im a sinner, as all men & women are in a sinful state of mind. We live in social institutions predicated on premises of selfish motives, that are affected by our sinful natures. Mankind would change if they could by laws, or constitutions, or protests, or marching, or elections, and/or just doing right. But then there would have been no need for the death on a cross of Christ Jesus and Gods plan for redemption. Nicodemus raised the question (why, what, & how) to Jesus, and the answer was~You got to be born again. To begin anew with the complete guidance of Almighty God and his plan to save a repentant sinner. John B. Anderson, chimes in with these special words~God implanted in each of us a conscience, and with it we become responsible for our own actions and chargeable with the responsibilities~to do mercy, seek justice, and walk humbly before our God. We cannot escape the fact that we are our Brothers Keeper. Just a thought!!
