A random thought about trusting Almighty God in 2014: A few years ago a close young friend of mine tried to limit my always preaching to him and others by exclaiming~Youve lived your life and now youre old, let us have our fun, were young and have time later to be all holy and stuff. I assured him that he could still have his fun and learn to love the Lord, but he didnt want an abstract something, he wanted a someone. So I offered him a someone, rather than a nebulous abstraction, I offered him Gods son~Jesus whom he could study from birth to death. If one understands that Jesus is God in focus, that as one listens (reading his word and following his actions) to his earthly experiences one sees God clearly~distinctly, sharply, down to earth!... understanding that he came to save, expand, love and bring life more abundantly to those who will accept and believe his message with no intention in limiting anyones fun. Having fun in essence is knowing the truth about life, love, family and eternity without putting your life in jeopardy (walking the wrong path to true happiness). Acts 4: 12, (NIV)~Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which WE must be saved. Just a thought!!
