A reader asks: Kate, wondering if you can make an anonymous post for me. Heres the deal. Im freshly pregnant, as in 17ish days post conception, with #3. I had a miscarriage in October at 8 weeks & obviously dont want that to happen again. I let if pass naturally & didnt observe any complications. My teeth the past year have taken a nosedive, in terms of health. Long & short of it, Ive always had a horrid dear of the dentist & postponed going for years...until I had pain. I had a molar pulled a few months ago, & next week another molar will be pulled (I dont believe in root canals). What can anybody recommend for pain relief, b/c Id rather avoid Percocet & Vicodin. Any alternatives to the antibiotics I should take? I have other teeth that are hurting & will be getting implants as time goes by. I am praying for another home birth, & dont want to risk out b/c of my teeth. Any input is most appreciated, thank you.
