A reader asks: My 3 year old has always had such a close bond to me & my partner. Me & her have spent every minute of the day together with no support from any other family, we are her world! Six months ago we had a second little one & our eldest has not adjusted very well. She hurts her (mainly pinching or grabbing when baby shouts or cries loudly-I will be honest & say she has seen me shout/get frustrated too). It appears she is hurting her for some sort of reaction from us & despite carrying out discipline (in the form of telling her no, putting her in a room alone to think about her actions, getting her to apologise & then explaining to her that we love her just as much still) she still hurts baby. She threw a toy at her this morning, we carried out the above & 5 minutes later she kicked her (not hard more a test nudge but still!)
