A reader shared this article with me, which echoes what I posted a few days ago about people, like my sister, who switch to gluten free everything, and dont eat a balanced diet focusing on whole foods and instead just load up on GF cereals, packaged foods, and treats...They start the day with GF waffles for breakfast, a snack of GF pie mid morning, then GF pasta at lunch, and a dinner of a GF sandwich with chips and a GF soda sweetened with stevia. Like Dr Davis, author of Wheat Belly, says, you have to make sure you are eating real foods like veggies, nuts, meats, low sugar fruits, healthy oils and that they are the bulk of your diet. The other stuff should be used as a treat and not what you make every meal consist of. post-gazette/news/healthscience/2013/11/04/DIET-S-DOWNSIDE/stories/201311040018
