A reader was wondering how other members of this community would handle this parenting issue. If you have advice or suggestions, please share them in the comments. She says my tween is driving me bonkers with constant, unnecessary questions and trying to get my approval on simple, elementary things that dont really need my approval. Mom, is it ok if these socks itch? Mom, is it ok if I drink and hiccup? Mom, is it OK to use toilet paper at school if its not our brand? Its not CAN I, its SHOULD I. Its silly, nonsensical questions that shes pecking me to death will all day and night. Its almost like shes starved for my attention and asking these questions just to get me to answer her, but I promise you this could not be further from the truth. Shes never done this before. Shes an honor roll student, very bright and funny..this is freaking me out.
