A real S C A N D A L is brewing! I have no problem with people who want to compete for Nigeria. Afterall Nigerians have changed allegiance and run for other countries. The embarrassing thing with this recruitment exercise is that it is meant for an inconsequential National Sports Festival.I dont think Francis Obikwelu decided to run for Portugal in order to compete at a local interhouse sport.Same for Gloria Glory Alozie! I really dont know the F R A U D behind this festival or is it not the same festival I competed in in 1989 in Lagos?How much is given to the State that wins the Festival? To forestall the scandal and fraud being perpetuated at a very large scale by those consulting for Delta State,the NSC Chairman and Minister should make the Festival closed. I dont see the developmental stride in failing to medal at the Commonwealth Games but getting excited about winning a festival medal.I was given 50 naira or so after the 1989 festival for winning gold for Bendel State.I dont even know where that medal is today! This is what some want to use to defraud Delta State or what they have been using to defraud us! No wonder they snatch ballot boxes and dont want change of the fraudulent government in Delta State.
